”Saatan sanoa”(Old age and death), in planning stage, for autumn 2012

Events in public (urban) space

Keywords: inner peace, life experience, ability to share one’s experiences – the lived life, letting go

In the production, the old people (performers over the pension age) will start talking and sharing their own experiences to the (viewers) participants. The situations will take place in the public urban space, and their nature will be that of an unplanned personal encounter. The old people (performers) will sit on chairs, and as you sit next to them, the performer will start talking and will ask you to share a story. The performers will be both professional actors and ordinary old people.

Idea: Group of old people are telling stories from their own lives. They sit on chairs, and next to them, there is another chair, empty for the visitor (experiencer, participant) to sit down when they want. Finally, the old person asks what has moved the visitor, and is prepared to hear the visitor’s story.
