”Sanonko?”(Middle age and work), Kluuvi Gallery, 29.5–15.6.2009

Keywords: introversion, frustration, conflicts, final breakdown or new attempt, responsibility.

Realization: The installation consisted of photographs and construction waste material.
I built a cube of approximately 2.5 m x 2.5 m, an imitation of "home - shelter", the attempt to reach the other, to hold on to the other. The space was dim, almost dark. The inside of the cube was painted black. On one wall, there was an opening through which you could see the image of a person projected inside the cube. A living person settled next to the human image in the dark. The gallery space was dim, so the situation between the living versus non-living image, the person versus the projected image, was difficult to discern.
During the last week of the exhibition (0906-140609), the situation of the cube changed: its inside was painted white. The tarpaulin roof was removed, and daylight filled the gallery space. The person projected inside the cube became alive, stepped out of the image and turned into a living person (performer).

Performers: Eero Enqvist, Maija Paunio
