”Saa sanoa”(Young people and life), MUU Gallery, autumn 2008

Keywords: fear, marginalization, rebellion. The will to live and the possibility to build a life of your own. Openness, dreams, unsubordination. This part functions as the introduction for the three-part exhibition series in my doctoral studies.

Realization: The installation consisted of photographs, video and a graffiti written on the wall: “Saa sanoa”. What was essential was the performers’ relation to the space, viewers and works:
1. Presence (weeks 1-2). Performers asked questions from viewers: "To whom does the urban space belong? In which way is this city yours? How do you take things that are alien to you, different?"
2. ”Worklikeness”. On week 3, performers became a part of the work, were present but practically motionless, statue-like, as if glued into an image.

Performers: Hyunh Ha, Linda Priha, Iina Taijonlahti, Petra Toropainen
